Weekly Rewind ~ 6.21.15

Posted June 21, 2015 by Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog in Features, Weekly Rewind / 46 Comments

Weekly Rewind is a weekly feature where I will recap posts, books read, books bought and borrowed and whatever else from the past week. I’ve linked to The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Team Tynga’s Reviews
It was only an ok reading week but I finished my binge of Orange is the New Black season 3. It wasn’t the best but I still really enjoyed it. I was semi-productive on the homefront so I’ll take it as a win!

This week in blog posts

This week in reading

  • Finished: At the Waters Edge by Sara Gruen

  • Nightengale b Kristin Hannah (Borrowed)

Quote of the Week

“Life doesn’t have to be so planned. Just roll with it and let it happen.”
Jenny Han, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

What did your week look like? What books did you read/get?

  1. Am interested to see what you think of The Nightingale. I don’t think it’s for me but often I’m surprised when I read others’ reviews and get tempted!

I like the look of Faking Perfect though!

The bagel was very yummy 🙂 It is hard because I wasn’t sure exactly what was unpopular!

I loved Water for Elephants! This one wasn’t quite up to that but I still really enjoyed it.

  2. This week I finished Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman! It is an incredible book and I can’t wait to review it. I just started The Young Elites by Marie Lu. I spent WAY too much time on Netflix this week, but that’s a given. I love the quote of the week! I really need to read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I haven’t read any of the books you mentioned, but I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them! 😀

I literally got Netflix for OITNB. So good! But I am semi-obsessed with TV. Until We Meet looks awesome! Faking Perfect was pretty good, a very quick read for me. Thank you and hope you have a great week as well!

I really liked At the Water’s Edge too. I totally plan to be alone when reading the Nightingale now because of all the cry warnings!

I really like Nightingale so far (70% in). Its a really great story and has lots of feels already. I liked At the Water’s Edge but I had to get when they were in Scotland for me to really like it. I think that is when it got good for me.
