Weekly Rewind ~ 3.12.17

Posted March 12, 2017 by Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog in Weekly Rewind / 55 Comments

Weekly Rewind is a weekly feature where I will recap posts, books read, books bought and borrowed and whatever else from the past week. I’ve linked to The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
This week was still a slower reading week even if it doesn’t’ look it. I was busy with trying to exercise, having the kids home more since they were off of school for conferences as well as finding The Great British Baking Show on Netflix which I can’t stop watching and deciding to teach myself to knit. Yikes!! Anyways it was a pretty good week. Yesterday we had some family over for my daughter’s birthday which is always a nice time. Today I am off to brunch with some girlfriends. Hope you al had a great week!

  1. I’ve been trying to keep up with exercising too. I moved my bike/elliptical to my living room so I could use it with I binge watch something on Netflix. It’s a portable machine so it’s easy to move it in and out of rooms. Looks like you had some good reads this past week! I own We Are Still Tornadoes, but never got around to reading it. I’ve seen some great reviews for it tho!

Hope you have a great week!

  2. Ooh, the brunch sounds wonderful! I haven’t done that in a while…I am looking forward to the April 1 weekend and my daughter’s wedding, as we will have some celebrating to do.

Enjoy your new books…and your new week. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist!! Such a sweet book. I also really got into it because it’s set in New York, so I was picturing myself in their shoes. I’m curious to see what you think of The Inexplicable Logic of My Life – I’ve seen very mixed reviews, people either love it or find it really problematic.

    • I loved the NY setting that one so much. The Inexplicable Logic of My Life I really enjoyed. I read that people found it problematic too. I didn’t see it that way but I could see where it could be for people. Hope you have a great week!!

  4. What an awesome week! The Great British Baking Show is my favorite 😀 And knitting, wow! That’s really cool you’re going to teach yourself a new hobby. Birthday celebrations and brunch sound fun too 🙂 My week was good! Nice weather, productive weekend around the house (but also including a nap and reading hehe), and movies/dinner with friends.

  5. My sister taught herself how to knit a few years ago and enjoys it so much. She tried to teach me but it just wasn’t happening. I’m wasn’t coordinated enough or something. LOL I have those two Sarina Bowen books and am so excited to read them. They both sound so good. Love your random! I can so relate. 🙂

  6. It is hard not to go crazy when gift cards are involved. My daughter is in the knitting club at her school and is picking it up really quickly. I am sure you will as well. I love the random quote. I think I have switched camps and am totally in the donut camp. I gave up any chance of wearing a bikini a while ago but I can eat a donut like a pro 🙂

  7. Sounds like you had a great week social wise. And slower reading is not bad, when you think about it.
    Good luck with knitting! 😉
As for my week, it was really, really slow reading wise, bc I’m in reading slump. But I don’t mind, I guess my brain needed a reading vacation. But now I’m back in a game, because yesterday evening I started one book and today morning I finished it. 😀

  8. Woot, I adored the True North series so I’m hoping you do too.

Ooh, I’m going to add The Great British Bake Off to my binge watching while I do laundry this week because I’m in the mood for foodie type shows and I’ve made some serious strides in completing Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Ha!

Brunch with the girls sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you have a great week, Grace and that your reading picks up. 🙂
