Weekly Rewind ~ 12.20.15

Posted December 20, 2015 by Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog in Features, Weekly Rewind / 55 Comments

Weekly Rewind is a weekly feature where I will recap posts, books read, books bought and borrowed and whatever else from the past week. I’ve linked to The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Team Tynga’s Reviews.
Today is my little guy’s second birthday. We celebrated with family yesterday and are probably doing something fun as a family as you read this. I am officially over the holidays 🙂 No really I am so tired. So with that I am taking a week or so off after today. I will be back sometime after the holidays. Hope everyone has a wonderful one if you celebrate.

  1. Happy Birthday to the little guy, Grace 🙂 It sounds like you had a great time with family yesterday. I hope you’ll have a wonderful, and peaceful holiday break 🙂
Your new books look amazing, I have two of those on my shelves, too, and can’t wait to read Illuminae.
I’m taking a break next week, too, it’s much needed after all the stress in the past weeks 🙂
    Merry Christmas.

  2. Happy Birthday to your little guy! I love the Throne Of Glass series and I can’t wait to read Illuminae! Taking a break from blogging when you need it is very smart , there’s no point doing it if you don’t enjoy it! Merry Christmas!

  3. Happy Birthday to your son! Two is such a fun age. Enjoy your week off! You deserve to take some time. You picked up some great books. I really enjoyed Illuminae but I am sure that it will be better reading it in a paper copy (I had a PDF file that left out some of the artwork). I also have Try Not to Breathe and hope to get to it soon. Have a fantastic holiday!

  4. I know what you mean about the holidays, I love Christmas but at the same time it will be nice when it’s over too and we can all relax. LOL. Happy bday to your son! I’ve pretty much decided to read the Maas books in 2016, and hope you like Illuminae. It’s pretty good. 🙂

Hope you have a great holiday and enjoy the family time!

    • Yes I love Christmas don’t get me wrong but man it takes a lot out of me. Thanks!!! I hope you enjoy the ToG series next year. So excited for Illuminae but waiting for things to calm down so I can focus on it. Have a wonderful holiday!

  5. Oh, toddler birthdays are the best! Sigh. I miss not having any grandkids that little….enjoy your break from all the hubbub….and thanks for visiting my blog.

The Last Time We Were Us looks tempting…and your Instagram photos look awesome.

  6. I like the idea of a break away from blogging, but I feel like I have a bit more free time around the holidays to be honest so I should be making posts and visiting blogs back and whatnot. We’ll see! I’m not going to go crazy. It’ll be nice to have some relaxing time.

p.s. happy birthday to your son!

I loved this series! Olivia and Caleb are so flawed but you want to root for them no matter how many mistakes they make. Then there is Leah who is a crazy bitch from hell. Haaaate her, and the hate grows with her book.
About the spoiler: the rapist turned out to be the guy she was representing…
What sis you think about Caleb’s revelation at the end??? I wasn’t really expecting the author to do that at all!
