Weekly Rewind ~ 1.10.16

Posted January 10, 2016 by Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog in Features, Weekly Rewind / 57 Comments

Weekly Rewind is a weekly feature where I will recap posts, books read, books bought and borrowed and whatever else from the past week. I’ve linked to The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Team Tynga’s Reviews.
First full week of 2016 in the books! A full week of eating healthy, working out, reading and blogging are done. We got back into the swing of things around here. Husband went back to work, my little girl went back to school and me and the little dude just tried to survive. He had his first dentist visit and that went about as well as you can expect. Last night we met up with friends and went out for dinner and it was nice to have some adult interactions besides just family. I am really excited to start the Clean Slate Read-A-Thon today. I have 4 books picked out to read, which is stretch, but I hope I can do it!! Here is to another great week 🙂

Quote of the Week

“I will leave you with one last piece of advice, which is: If you’ve got it, flaunt it. And if you don’t got it? Flaunt it. ’Cause what are we even doing here if we’re not flaunting it?”

  1. Oh, yeah… first dental visit. At least it’s over, right 🙂 UGH, eating healthy, too?!?! What in the world are you thinking? You are such a good girl! I might look at the treadmill this week, you never know 🙂

I’ll have to see what you think of Fates and Furies – I’ve had that one for a while and just haven’t brought myself to start it. Lead the way!!!

    Enjoy your RAT today!!

  2. Good luck with the readathon! Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen sounds fun, a nice cozy mystery for a cold wintery day.

Glad you got to get out, that’s always nice. I liked your TV post. So many shows. I just finished Jessica Jones and I liked it a lot. Hope they do another one, and of course Luke Cage is getting his own show later this year. Maybe they’ll guest star back and forth. 🙂

  3. I’m definitely curious about Why Not Me? All the Missing Girls looks like one I’d enjoy, too.

I’m curious about Carry On, because I enjoyed Fangirl, but I’m not convinced I will love Simon Snow all the time. LOL.

Thanks for sharing and have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  4. Ooh, In Real Life! I can’t wait to see what you think of that! it was really something. (ha. that’s really all I can say without spoilers. 😉 ) aw, glad the first dentist’s visit went well! I love your bookstagram, btw, too! it’s all so pretty! 😀

  5. Wow, you’re starting off the new year totally on track – healthy eating, working out. Awesome! I’m not familiar with *any* of your new additions – I need to check those out. Love your Instagram pics! I used to be *very* active on IG, too a long hiatus, and am just starting to post now and then. I can’t seem to keep it all going at the same time. 😉

  6. I actually bought The Art of Being Normal in a London bookstore last year because it was released over there first. I didn’t realize until recently that it had not been released in the States yet (until I saw the ARC on NetGalley). I am so glad to see people reading it because I was thinking that it needed more love. I loved that book and I think you will as well. I had never read a book with a transgendered character, so it was interesting. Hope you enjoy it!
