Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

Since we last we went over what books we are looking forward to the rest of the year and we did which books will be  in our beach bags I am looking this slightly different. I am going to pick my ten books that I have purchased and have been sitting on my kindle that I plan to get off my TBR this summer.  I have so many it took me a while to figure which ten were worthy!

I am excited for Marrow – I read Mud Vein and it was very different but really good – Hope we both enjoy it!

  1. I really want to read Grave Mercy and The Beginning of Everything! 🙂 I’ve been hearing nothing but good reviews on those books, and it’s making me quite curious now. Haha. Ooh I know The Kite Runner! I’ve never read the book, but my cousin is recommending it to me. Hope you read that one too! Do you know the book, A Thousand Splendid Suns, also by Khaled Hosseini? It’s a sad book, I hear, but it’s really good! Happy reading 🙂

PS. YOUR BLOG IS SO CUTE!! 😀

I hope Grave Mercy and The Beginning of Everything are as good as I’ve heard – and that you enjoy them when you get to them. A Thousand Splendid Suns is also on my TBR (at some point!) Thanks so much about the blog!

That’s why YOU moved up on my TBR!!! I didn’t even realize it was going to be a series so crunch time on getting it done. I have heard amazing things about Grave Mercy so I am pretty pumped!

SO excited for Pivot Point! I love the Fall With Me series so hopefully it lives up to the rest.

  2. The Beginning of Everything has a cover that grabs me. The synopsis on GR sounds good, too. I think it’s interesting that even as I move into reading more ebooks that book covers still are my first way of choosing a book if I haven’t heard of the author.

I pretty much only read ebooks and covers are still my biggest reason for picking a book if I don’t know anything else about it. Glad I’m not the only one!

I am jazzed for Grave Mercy (and I am sure I will be sucked into the rest of the books!)

  3. Pratchett had some great entries in the DiscWorld series towards the end. It’s a bit melancholy that we won’t have any more to look forward to.

I am excited because I really liked Hopeless so I am sure I will love Losing Hope.

Mud Vein was good! That’s why I am so excited for Marrow. Hope we both enjoy it!

  4. Marrow is on my TBR for this summer as well! I read The Kite Runner back in high school – it’s super emotional, but well worth a read. I also enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author.

Hope we both enjoy Marrow! I also have A Thousand Splendid Suns on my TBR (but just not for this summer!)

  5. Great list! I loved Grave Mercy! It reminded me a little of Graveling and Throne of Glass because of the kick butt female protagonist! I haven’t read Kite Runner but my friend just read it and it sounds so amazing. Happy reading!

Thanks -I have heard only amazing things about Grave Mercy and I can’t wait to get to it!

  6. AWESOME group of books you’ve got there!! We felt like we just did this post with the books in our beach bag topic that we did few weeks ago, so we decided to skip this one today. But I’m totally loving your picks! Losing Hope was amazing!! I loved Pivot Point and The Beginning of Everything too. I’m hoping to read Marrow asap! Hope you enjoy all of these gorgeous books!

Totally agree it was a tad repetitive which is why I tried to put a little spin on it 🙂 I am glad to hear you enjoyed a lot on my list! I feel like I need to get to Marrow soon too!

    • Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog

Thanks! I hope Losing Hope is as good as Hopeless was. I hope you enjoy all your summer to reads as well!

  7. I’ve got tons of books on my Kindle that I need to get to as well. Good ones, too! I don’t know I keep putting them off for newer, shinier titles …

From your list, I’ve read THE KITE RUNNER and PIVOT POINT. I enjoyed both, although the latter gets confusing. It has a cool premise, though. I also really want to read THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING and GRAVE MERCY.

Thanks for stopping by my TTT yesterday!

Newer, shinier titles have completely distracted me!! I don’t even know how many books I have collected – Ooops
