  1. I’ve heard Marley and Me is a tearjerker- my aunt saw it and said it got her all emotional. ๐Ÿ™‚ I haven’t seen any of these movies although from what I’ve heard I totally get The Fault in our Stars being a tearjerker too…

  2. Ah yes, I’ve definitely cried watching The Notebook. Big Fish was my absolute favorite movie for years though (still one of my favorites, though it’s been beat for the #1 spot), so I’ve watched it a million times, and I don’t know if I ever cried watching it? Maybe the first time or so. I can’t actually remember the first time I saw it. But even though the ending was kind of sad, it was also done in such a positive way that watching it never brought me down or made me too sad.

Oh, and I’ve cried in Toy Story 3, but I feel like most people cry at the very end where I cried when they all started holding hands in the trash.

I’m a crier too! I haven’t seen all of these (I especially avoid Marley & Me because I’m pretty sure the dog dies in the end), but the ones I’ve seen I definitely cry every time. I just saw the stage play for Steel Magnolias a few weeks ago and cried during the play too! I was trying to explain to my husband why I cry on Toy Story 3. (“And then, they know it’s the end, and they reach for each other to hold hands…sob!” He doesn’t get it.) Great list, as always.

  4. Holy cow, it’s been years since I’ve watched Steel Magnolias and Beaches but I do remember bawling my eyes out when watching them. Great movies and now I want to watch A Walk to Remember again. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I have never seen the movie for Marley and Me but the book made me cry so hard that my husband didn’t believe I was crying that hard over a book. He though something really awful had happened – and it had just in the pages! I’m not sure I could handle the movie. I LOVED Beaches. It’s been years since I’ve seen it but oh the tears! Great list!

Great list. I’ve seen most of those and yes, I cried. I refuse to EVER watch Marley & Me again. That one broke my heart. I was so upset after I finished watching that movie.

  7. I am not a fan of crying in movies, especially when they end sadly. Marley and Me just had me bawling. i will be honest, I liked the Walk To Remember until the end then not so much. Its why I read romance, I like my happy endings. ๐Ÿ™‚ Although there are some movies out there that end happy but are still tear jerkers. Great list and thanks for sharing.
