Ely @ Tea & Titles and Val @ The Innocent Smiley will again be hosting the Make Me Read It Readathon! Basically, this readathon allows your friends and audience to vote for what you’ll be reading. This year, the readathon will be from July 9th to the 16th! You can sign up here.  So see below for more on the readathon from Val’s post.

What Is This Readathon About?
Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you’ve borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I’d pick a few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven, pick out ten.
Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you. Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you HAVE to read.
When the readathon comes along, you read the books in the order of most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then the one that got 7 and so on. If there’s a tie, then it’s your preference. The goal is to read as many as possible.

I am super excited to be participating this year. I love when you guys pick what I read during my monthly TBR List posts plus who doesn’t love to vote on stuff???  I picked 8 books for you guys to vote on hoping to get through 3 or 4 of them.

  1. I am DEFINITELY planning on participating. This will be first time for this readathon. I love the idea of letting others pick what I should read. Makes the decision so much easier. I chose All The Bright Places for you. It was one of my favorites.

  2. This sounds like a lot of fun! I’m doing something similar on my blog, but it’s a vote to see which books I’ll reread from when I was younger. A Throwback Thursday theme, if you will. If I weren’t doing that, I just might’ve signed up for this.

I voted for Smith’s book. I’ve read a couple of her books in the past, but I need to get back to reading the others. So many books, so little time! >.<

Best of luck in the readathon!
